Education and Support

Education and Support

Nan and Gary believe that education is the key to healing grief. Since 1997, they have offered workshops,
seminars, and presentations that are a blend of education and support. They do not counsel; but rather
offer encouragement based on their own experiences and the knowledge they’ve acquired throughout
their journey. Both are Certified Grief Educators through Dr. Alan Wolfelt’s programs at the Center for
Loss and Life Transition in Fort Collins, Colorado. They continue to learn by attending ongoing continued
education classes, seminars, and through the experiences of those who attend their groups.

Nan and Gary host 3 education and support group series each year. In Spring and Fall, they facilitate a 6-
week series called Getting Back to Life after Loss. In May and June, they facilitate a 4-week series
called Finding the Other Side  of Sadness—Moving from Grief to Mourning. Each group is a
progressive series; and therefore, it is recommended that you attend beginning with the first week. Be
sure to look for the postings on these events by visiting our website or subscribing to our online ELetter.

Understand the five ways we grieve and the shudda, wudda, cudda responses. This is a journey you need not walk alone.
